an invitation to fathers and mothers to bring their
children to Eucharistic Adoration

*As appeared on EWTN's Show, Living Divine Mercy

For 2000 years, the Catholic Church has been leading families to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, celebrated in the Mass and in Eucharistic Adoration.

Guided by the Holy Spirit, we formed Children of Our Lady of Mercy - Eucharistic Adorers.

We felt a special call by Our Lady to gather our children before the presence of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and as we say, with the love of Mary. We felt Our Lady calling us to begin simply by loving and adoring her son Jesus.

When we begin to pray, we invite the children to place themselves more deeply in the loving presence of Jesus. The children begin by thanking Jesus for His love, and for the beautiful gift of Mary, His Most Holy Mother.

Our hearts are focused on the presence of Jesus, and His love for us. We reflect on Jesus’s desire at the foot of the cross to love and honor Mary, His Most Holy Mother, to receive Mary into our hearts as our spiritual Mother, to love her, and to allow her to form our hearts in her maternal and loving protection of her Immaculate Heart.

We then invite the children to make their Marian Consecration, to entrust their hearts to Jesus, through Mary, under her title, Our Lady of Mercy.

We then invite Mary to pray with us and for us, to always lead us closer to her son Jesus. United to Mary’s Immaculate Heart, the children offer up their love and prayers to Jesus.

We pray the Holy Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. We pray for you and for our world. We pray for the conversion of sinners, for the sanctity of life, for the salvation of souls, for peace in our families, and for peace in our world.

This is the answer. If your family has been away from the presence of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, we invite you to begin by making a Family Holy Hour, with the love of Mary. We have created 7 simple steps to help fathers and mothers lead their children in to a beautiful and loving family Holy Hour.

We then invite you to gather in your parish with other families to have a Children’s Holy Hour with Our Lady of Mercy.

We are, Children of Our Lady of Mercy - Eucharistic Adorers

When we simply love and adore Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament with the love of Mary, something beautiful happens. Let us then love Jesus with the heart of Mary, and let us love and honor Mary in the presence of Jesus.

MARIAN CONSECRATION
A Child Consecration To The Immaculate Heart of Mary, Under Her Title Our Lady of Mercy.

Prayer: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Mary, my Heavenly Mother, I love you. Please lead my heart always to Jesus in the richness of His Divine Mercy. O’ Mary conceived without sin, help me to develop my interior life of trust in Jesus, so that I may live more in the presence of Jesus - so that I may live a life of holiness, offering love, mercy, healing, and hope to the world.

O’ Mary full of grace, take me under your special protection of your Immaculate Heart and guard the purity of my soul. Guide me in life and comfort me in times of suffering.

In times of temptation, in the struggle against evil, in the effort to do good, to do what is right, pray for me dear Mother. And in moments that I may fall from grace into sin, lead me safely to the mercy of your son, Jesus.

Mary, loving Mother of Jesus and my mother, I give you my heart and entrust my life to you and all that I have under your title, Our Lady of Mercy. Amen

About Marian Consecration

What is Marian Consecration? Marian Consecration is a gift to us from Jesus at the cross. When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple there whom He loved, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother” (John 19:26-27).

The apostle John represents all of us. On Good Friday, Christ made His mother, the Mother of the human race, and made us her spiritual children.

Jesus loves us, and calls us to share in His divine life. Mary then was given to us to help us enter into a more intimate, and holy relationship with her son Jesus.

Jesus invites us to accept Mary, His own Mother into our heart. To walk with Mary, to share our hopes, our joys, our sorrows, and our fears. Then to allow Mary to help us develop our interior life of trust in Jesus, so that we may have a greater trust in His love.

Marian Consecration then is to say yes to Jesus’s invitation at the foot of the cross, to accept Mary into our heart as our spiritual Mother. To receive Mary in our heart, to love her, and allow her to form our heart in her maternal and loving protection of her Immaculate Heart.

A CHILD’S PRAYER TO MARY

Dear Mary, loving Mother, I would like to thank you for your love with this prayer.

Filled with the love and the grace of your Son, a mother you are to me. You are the one who brings to me the love, and the grace, the joy, and the peace of your Son, Jesus.

Dear Lady, you are a Mother to us all. You, Dear Lady, are the one who taught me how to love your Son, how to trust, and how to pray from my heart.

You continue to form my heart in the love and grace of your Son. You continue helping me to grow in holiness, how to walk with Jesus and adore Him every day.

Blessed are you, and blessed is your Son, the Lord Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, please pray for us.

Mary, you have been a love to me, a shining light in the night, a sign of hope for me to see.

You have been the voice of calm in my heart, a strength and comfort you are to me.

Dear Lady, you pray for all the world, you pray for us all in hopes we will turn to your Son. And so, I would like to thank you by sharing my heart with you in this prayer.
